Cruella is a different take on the Cruella De Ville story. This a definite origin story that we didn't know we needed. One difference is the conflict between Cruella played by Emma Stone and The Baroness, played by Emma Thompson. Most of the characters from the book are still there, like Jasper, played by Joel Fry and Horace played by Paul Walter Hauser. We also see Anita played by Kirby Howell-Baptiste and Roger played by Kayvan Novak.

Cruella is visually stunning, if it doesn’t get nominated for an Oscar for costume design that would be a travesty. The music in the movie carries the story along. The cast is super strong. Emma Stone is really appealing as Cruella and her accent sounded natural. Emma Thompson is a good baddie that made you root for Cruella and her crew. The animals were also good in the movie.
Cruella is a good time and even though there are dark themes as with most Disney movies, you still want Cruella to win.
Cruella is now playing in theaters and on Disney+ Premier pass.
