In the latest James Bond movie, No Time to Die spy thriller is Daniel Craig’s last Bond movie. This movie gives James Bond a full story and a complete journey. Madeline Swann played by Lea Seydoux who assisted James Bond in the movie Spectre, we see a flashback to when she was a young girl who witnessed her mom’s murder by a masked man named Lyutsifer Safin played by Rami Malek. Who is the protagonist of the movie. Years later, he and Madeline are in a full-blown relationship. They are in Matera and Spectre assassins ambush James. We later learn that MI6 captured Ernst Stavro Blofeld played by Christoph Waltz, who was the head of Spectre. Bond decides to separate from Madeline because Bond believed she betrayed him.

We jump to five years later. We find that an MI6 scientist Valdo Obruchev played by David Dencik is kidnapped from a MI6 laboratory which we find has developed a bioweapon called Project Heracles. Bond who has retired to Jamaica, is found by his old friend Felix Leiter played by Jeffrey Wright who enlists Bond to work for the CIA to help with the search for Obruhev. Bond encounters Nomi played by Lashana Lynch, and he learns she is the new 007 of MI6. Eventually, they both work together to find Safin.

This James Bond outing was more relationship oriented, whereas others were just the do the job type movies. We see the bonds (see what I did there) that were developed with the MI6 team and the fondness they still have for James Bond. We see that Eve Moneypenny played by Naomie Harris, Q played by Ben Whishaw and M who we find is named Gareth Mallory played Ralph Fiennes bring Bond back into the MI6 fold due to this mess with Safin and Madeline. Along the way we meet Paloma played by Ana de Armas who is a CIA agent that assists Bond with finding the scientist. Her action scene was a highlight for me. They all come together as family does to do what they do best, which is save the world. Along the way, James finds out all of Madeline’s secrets which leads to Bond and Naomi confronting Safin who wants to spread the Bioweapon all over the world. Not only do Bond and Nomi need to stop Safin but they need to save Bond’s newfound family.

The action was great! The stunts were amazing. The story was solid and that fact that they gave Nomi the 007 moniker because she was the best and she proves why she is the best throughout the movie. This movie was a great send off to Daniel Craig and his James Bond evolution. He went from a straightforward spy to a family man without ever being able to enjoy it. MI6 has been James Bond’s family forever and this movie shows that connection no matter what has happened between Bond and MI6, they will always take him back.

No Time To Die gives you the James Bond you love but hits you with a ton of emotion that you didn’t expect. No Time to Die is now in theaters.
