The Marvels – The Ultimate Girl Power movie

The Marvels is a powerful sequel that is after the events of WandaVision and a direct continuation of Ms. Marvel. We last saw Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) disappear from her room and we find Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) appear in Kamala’s room confused as to how she got there. Monica Rambeau, (Teyonah Parris) also switches with the other two Marvels. We see that Monica has been working with Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) at the space station S.A.B.E.R.; Captain Marvel has been fighting the Kree led by Dar-Benn (Zawe Ashton) who blames Captain Marvel for the downfall of their homeland.

The chemistry between the three leads was great, and the scene-stealer was Iman Vellani; in every scene that she is in, she pulls you in, and not only do you root for her and her family, who also make an appearance, to get safety, as she helps fight the Kree. She also helps Carol and Monica get through their awkwardness of not addressing their feelings for one another. The story has its purpose, but the villain, not so much. Usually, villains in the MCU have appeal to the point that you are low-key root for them. This villain, you don’t find her motivation until later in the movie, and by that time, I didn’t care. That storyline was to explain why she doesn’t like Captain Marvel.

The fight scenes were great, the choreography was impressive, cinematography and acting were great. The dance sequence you would think would be out of place, fit right in. The Marvels was underrated when originally released. I saw it in theaters and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now you can watch The Marvels in the comfort of your home, but you will leave with the disappointment of not watching it in a theatre.

The Marvels is a fun good time that moves the multiverse into another dimension, and you look forward to what may happen next. I highly recommend The Marvels as a must-watch! Watch for yourself and form your own opinion. This was an enjoyable time with jaw-dropping moments. I hope they make a sequel,  that is how much I liked this movie.
